Finding the problem, you have half of the solution

Hi, Aubrey here writing a quick note to all who know me in person.

As some of you may know, we sold our business and spent one full year at home doing what we liked to do. For Margaret, it is staying with our three kids – starting from September this year, she will home school them!

For me, it is publishing refreshing and inspiring views of the Bible. Within fives months last year (2011), I finished the typesetting and publishing of a series of Taichuan Tongs’ 6 books in Chinese on the topic of “End Times” and then it took Margaret and me a few more months to translate 2 of the 6 books into English. The first book of the series, entitled “Numbers & Roots of Numbers in the Bible,” reports an unprecedented discovery of a total of nine numeric roots for all numbers from 1 to infinity. I am extremely happy that we have been able to publish these books written by Taichuan Tongs – the first two books in English are also available on Amazon Kindle. All our books are available in both the electronic PDF and the softcover print formats. Free Trial Reading version for each book is also available, Chinese or English.

While I was seeking ways to get these books accessible for everyone on mobile phones and ebook readers, I found the idea for this current business and also found the tools to make it work.

Why this new business? I know an English saying that goes like this… “A problem well stated is a problem half solved.”

Having thought through about web design for quite some time, I can finally say that I have found a single problem that most websites out there have in common. So I wrote it down as simple and as clear as I could, and then posted it on the homepage of this website.

Read it and let me know what you think!

P.S. I love email and text messaging a lot – send email to aubrey AT or send text message to my Android phone at 403-999-8910 or iPhone at 587-436-9919. For sure you can call any of the cell numbers I give you here as I love to hear your voice too. Note also that I have not finished building the online order area yet.

I have already built an app (a very basic version for now) for this new business and have submitted to Google’s Play Store – download link for Android phones is here. For iOS it takes a few weeks to get accepted at Apple’s App Store.

Great job, Aubrey and Margret. Glad to know that you are able to pursue your interest. Good luck .

Jay, thank you for taking the time to add your comment. As far as website is concerned, I believe in natural traffic from search engines. Natural traffic is free, unlike the other granite shops I see, they paid a lot of money to get on the first page of Google. Only a couple of granite shops hired someone or did themselves on Search Engine Optimization (SEO) to get their naturally listed high on Google. A few years have passed, the three websites I used to own before we sold the business to the current owner all still rank high on Google’s first page even when no one has touched the websites for three years. That even amazes myself.

All the best for you and your business as well. Aubrey

Hi Aubrey & Margaret, it’s great to hear from you again, and glad to know that you both are doing well. Your children are very intelligent, and I know they will excel even more with Margarets home schooling. My business is doing great, growing more and more each year. I’m planning and praying to be able to retire in a couple of years to devote full time to Burials at Sea by Captain Johnnie Lee.

Thank you for your help and support.

All the best to you with your new venture.
